Winona, MN.
Was a non-traditional student during my academic learning experience. I started taking courses at St. Mary’s when my family consisted of just my wife and our one-year old son. I graduated six days before the birth of our third child. That alone was a learning experience!
I had a lot of great professors that allowed (and at times encouraged) me to challenge conventional thinking, and learning. Many thanks to Brother Arnold McMullen (Computer Science) who instilled the passion for problem solving. Father Andrew Fabien (Philosophy) who had an intellectual mind like no other person I’ve ever encountered before or since; which made me want to study so I could try and hold my own just having a conversation with him. And to Brother Jerome Rademacher (Physics) who made learning about matter and energy fun by getting you to think how things work from first principles.
